2026 Quarter 1: goals update

If having detailed yearly and quarterly goals makes me type A, guilty. Some may call it rigid, I call it grounding. They are not set in stone, they change as circumstances do. They do make me quite delighted to check off.

Quarter one, I did quite well with my goals. Two missed by only a few days.

Goal 1: Finish draft 2 of Broken Trad Wife.

I also finished draft 3-5, so triple check.

Goal 2: Submit to 2 Beta Readers

Check. Two writers from Jericho Writers as well as a few family members.

Goal 3: Read 36 books total (audio and physical)

I read 45.

Goal 4: Read a minimum of 12 books with my eyes

I read exactly 12, but one was Alchemised which is over a 1,000 pages so… does that could as three?

Goal 5: Submit to Developmental editor

I missed this by one day, as I submitted on April 1st.

Goal 6: Start historical novel edits

Missing goal 5, pushed this back. I have started now.

Overall, feeling quite proud of myself. Quarter two has some big scary goals (including submitting to agents), wish me luck!
